Are there any restrictions for the laying of rectified ceramic tiles with Dry Joint?

SPECIFICATIONS

Yes. There are some exceptions in laying with Dry Joint which are as follows:

- New ceramic over old;

- Drywall;

- Outdoor areas: grill, fireplace and wood stove;

- Floors with heating system;

- Façades (See Façade Laying Manual).

In the cases above, it must be installed with minimum joints of 2 mm and appropriate adhesive mortar. In the cases below, a new laying base must be made:

- Old Bases (where carpets, laminated wood and linings were removed);

- Paintings in general (PVA, acrylic, epoxy, resin and texture);

- Checkered powder floors (vermilion);

- Granite floors;

In special conditions, the manufacturer should be consulted.
