According to ABNT NBR 9050, “the floors must have a regular, firm, stable and non-slip surface under any condition, which does not cause vibration in devices with wheels (wheelchairs)”.

 

Recalling that the same standard establishes a free width of 1.50 m, with a minimum allowable 1.20 m, and that the allowable slope varies between 6.25% (1:16) and 8.33% (1:12), depending on the misalignment and also on the number of ramp segments.

 

Therefore, only products indicated as HARD can be used on wheelchair ramps.
